Welcome to BechDia - where heartbreak meets cashback! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and BechDia. By using our platform, you're agreeing to these Terms.

🚨 IF YOU DON'T AGREE, PLEASE DON'T USE OUR PLATFORM. 🚨

We've tried to make this readable and even mildly entertaining, but it's still a legal document. Grab some coffee ☕, settle in, and let's do this.

✍️ Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BechDia (website, mobile app, or any other format), you agree to:

✓ Follow these Terms & Conditions
✓ Comply with our Privacy Policy
✓ Obey all applicable laws (yes, even the boring ones)
✓ Not be a jerk to other users
✓ Accept that we may update these Terms (we'll notify you)

🎂 Eligibility (Age Restrictions)

You must be at least 18 years old to use BechDia.

We get it - heartbreak doesn't check IDs. But unfortunately, we have to. If you're under 18:

❌ You cannot create an account
❌ You cannot buy or sell items
❌ You cannot post confessions or stories
❌ Seriously, come back when you're 18. Your future heartbreaks will wait.

If we discover you lied about your age, we'll terminate your account faster than your ex blocked you.

👤 Account Responsibilities

Creating an Account

✓ Provide accurate, complete information
✓ Choose a password stronger than your ex's excuses
✓ Keep your login credentials secure
✓ One person = One account (no catfishing)

You Are Responsible For:

🔐 All activities under your account
🚨 Notifying us immediately if your account is compromised
💬 Everything you post, sell, or comment
⚖️ Any disputes arising from your transactions

Pro tip: If your ex knows your password, change it. Like, right now.

🚫 Prohibited Activities (Don't Be That Person)

Do NOT do any of the following, or we'll ban you faster than you can say "It's not you, it's me":

❌ Illegal Activities

• Selling stolen, counterfeit, or illegal items
• Drugs, weapons, or anything illegal in Bangladesh
• Human trafficking or exploitation
• Money laundering or fraud

❌ Harassment & Hate

• Bullying, threatening, or harassing other users
• Hate speech based on race, religion, gender, etc.
• Sexual harassment or unwanted advances
• Doxxing (sharing someone's private information)

❌ Scams & Fraud

• False or misleading product descriptions
• Fake breakup stories to manipulate buyers
• Phishing or stealing account credentials
• Payment fraud or chargebacks

❌ Abuse & Spam

• Spamming users with messages or posts
• Creating multiple fake accounts
• Manipulating likes, views, or reviews
• Scraping or copying our content/data

❌ Inappropriate Content

• Nudity or sexually explicit content
• Gore or graphic violence
• Child exploitation (instant permanent ban + legal action)
• Glorifying self-harm or suicide

❌ Platform Abuse

• Hacking, exploiting bugs, or DDoS attacks
• Reverse engineering our code
• Using bots or automated tools
• Circumventing security measures

💀 Violate these rules = Account termination. No warnings. No appeals. You're done.

💰 Buying & Selling Rules

For Sellers:

✓ You own or have the right to sell the item
✓ Descriptions must be accurate and honest
✓ Photos must show the actual item (no stock photos unless stated)
✓ Pricing is your responsibility (but be reasonable)
✓ You're responsible for shipping/delivery
✓ Respond to buyer messages within 48 hours
⚠️ BechDia is NOT responsible if a sale goes wrong

For Buyers:

✓ Read descriptions carefully before buying
✓ Ask questions if unsure
✓ Inspect items upon delivery
✓ Be respectful when negotiating
✓ Pay through approved methods only
⚠️ Once you confirm receipt, sales are final (unless fraud)

⚖️ Disputes:

BechDia facilitates transactions but doesn't guarantee outcomes. We'll help mediate disputes, but ultimately, buyers and sellers resolve issues between themselves. We're matchmakers, not marriage counselors.

📝 Your Content & Our Rights

You Own Your Content

Your breakup stories, confessions, listings, photos, comments - they're all yours. We don't claim ownership.

But You Grant Us a License

By posting content, you grant BechDia a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

✓ Display, distribute, and promote your content on our platform
✓ Use in marketing materials (anonymized unless you're featured)
✓ Store backups and archives
✓ Allow other users to view and share (within platform rules)

Translation: We need permission to show your stuff to other users. That's literally the point.

You Promise That:

✓ You have the right to post the content
✓ It doesn't violate anyone else's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy)
✓ It's not defamatory or illegal
✓ You won't sue us if your ex gets mad about your breakup story

©️ Intellectual Property

Our Stuff

The BechDia name, logo, design, code, and all platform features are owned by us. You can't:

❌ Copy, modify, or redistribute our code
❌ Use our name or logo without permission
❌ Create a competing platform using our code
❌ Scrape our data

Copyright Infringement

If someone posts your copyrighted content without permission, email us at legal@bechdia.com with:

• Proof you own the copyright
• Link to the infringing content
• Your contact information

We'll investigate and take appropriate action (usually within 48 hours).

🎭 Anonymous Posting Rules

We love that you can share confessions anonymously. But with great anonymity comes great responsibility:

✓ All community guidelines still apply
✓ We store your real identity (for legal/moderation purposes)
✓ Law enforcement can request your identity with proper authority
❌ Anonymity doesn't protect you from legal consequences
❌ Don't use anonymity to break rules or harass others

Think of anonymity as a privacy curtain, not an invisibility cloak.

💳 Payments & Fees

Platform Fees

Using BechDia is currently FREE for basic features. We may introduce:

• Commission on sales (we'll notify you 30 days in advance)
• Premium features (optional upgrades)
• Boosted listings (pay to promote)

Payment Processing

We use third-party payment processors (Stripe, bKash, etc.). We don't store your full payment details.

✓ All payments are between buyer and seller
✓ Payment processor fees apply
✓ Refunds are between buyer and seller (we don't process refunds)

⚠️ Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY - IT'S IMPORTANT!

"As-Is" Service

BechDia is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This means:

• We don't guarantee the platform will always work perfectly
• We don't verify all user content or listings
• We're not responsible for user behavior
• We can't guarantee transaction outcomes

We're NOT Liable For:

❌ Lost profits or business opportunities
❌ Data loss (back up your stuff!)
❌ Third-party actions (scammers, fraud, etc.)
❌ Disputes between users
❌ Emotional distress from bad transactions (we feel you though 💔)
❌ Your ex finding out you sold their gift

Maximum Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which is probably ৳0 since we're free).

🛡️ Indemnification (You've Got Our Back)

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold BechDia harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any laws
• Your content or listings
• Your transactions with other users
• Your infringement of anyone's rights

Translation: If you mess up and someone sues us, you're covering the legal bills. Don't mess up.

👋 Termination

You Can Leave Anytime

Delete your account from settings. We'll miss you! 💔

We Can Terminate If:

• You violate these Terms
• You break community guidelines
• You engage in illegal activity
• We're legally required to (court order, etc.)
• We decide to shut down (unlikely, but possible)

Upon termination, you lose access immediately. Some data may be retained for legal/operational reasons.

⚖️ Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dispute Process

Contact Us First: Email support@bechdia.com. Most issues can be resolved quickly.
Mediation: If we can't resolve it, we'll try mediation.
Arbitration/Court: As a last resort, legal proceedings in Dhaka courts.

Cooling-off period: Give us 30 days to resolve issues before taking legal action.

📝 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do:

📱 We'll notify you in-app
📅 Changes take effect 7 days after notification
✓ Continued use = you accept the new Terms

If you don't like the new Terms, you can delete your account. No hard feelings!

📚 Miscellaneous (The Boring Legal Stuff)

Severability

If any provision is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right doesn't waive that right.

Assignment

You can't transfer your rights under these Terms. We can (e.g., if we're acquired).

Entire Agreement

These Terms + Privacy Policy = complete agreement. Nothing else counts.

No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms are between you and us. Nobody else can enforce them.
